Another jam packed issue

Yes it really is us! Welcome along to a rather smarter Radio Today.

This issue we're halfway to introducing a much higher standard of printing and design — I'm sure you'll agree what we've done already is a major improvement. By the next issue when the final part of the system is installed, the quality will be absolutely superb!

It's also the most packed Radio Today yet, with some of the best writing on radio you'll find anywhere. Charlie Wolf joins the team, writing from the States with his Letter from America. Aleks Wright from Clockwork Wireless takes us inside the station to meet Terry Anderson and Dave Birdman. There's our usual Profile and of course all the usual features like Teknix, Behind The Dial, Rate It! and Worldwatch.

We make a move with this issue to cover ALL radio: BBC National and Local Radio, Independent Radio, Offshore and Unlicensed. After all, when you're tuning around looking for something to listen to you don't care if it's BBC, pirate or whatever. You'll find our London radio listings section bursting at the seams, and there are more stations arriving every week: not just pirates but also now satellite radio stations coming on tap, as you can read in Teknix. Your choice in radio listening has never been so good!

Unfortunately, we've been forced to increase the cover price of Radio Today slightly to cover the increased production costs. However, this is the first price increase for over a year and I'm sure you'll agree that the magazine is now much better value for money.

Happy reading!
